the larsons: Vegas and St George

We decided to leave Phoenix a couple of days early and make our way back home via Las Vegas and St George. We were able to stop at Hoover Dam and show the kids, they were so excited! They totally loved that the Dam from 'Transformers' was a real place, we were there at sunset which was gorgeous! PS the very place where the kids are sitting in this picture is where Todd asked me to marry him back in 2000. Yea!

We stopped in Vegas for a few hours and were able to see our great friends the Shaul's, we haven't seen them in years and it was great to be able to catch up. I guess they have a tradition of jumping into the neighbors freezing pool every New Year's Eve and so talked Todd and Jacob into joining the Icee Polar Bear club with them, the water in the pool was in the low 40's but it didn't stop my boys! We ate dinner and talked and played the Wii and the kids devoured the Shaul's ginger bread house... Good Times!!!

We had a blast staying with Scott and Amy for a couple of days and were able to hang out with Kent and Amy and their family also, we have really missed Kent's family since they moved to Utah from Colorado Springs, cry cry...

Scott and Amy have a half pipe in their back yard for the boys... Ashlie found a better use for it... a slide!!! Here she is being silly as she's "falling!"

It wasn't long before Kailey joined in the sliding action! Woo Hoo

Kent and Amy have this awesome rec center that's pretty close to their house that both the families have memberships to so we went swimming one day, the place was crazy... I didn't put a picture of the playground thing on here but I should have, the place was just HUGE!!! We had so much fun playing with the cousins!
